As any church function should, we have a spiritual side. We gather as individuals to embrace our Catholic faith. With our ever-changing world, it is important that we stick together in our faith, and with each other. Some of our many spiritual activities include: Fan the Fire, National Catholic Youth Conferences, our bi-weekly youth masses and meetings, Stations of the Cross, and Ecumenical Walks. You might be thinking what is Fan the Fire, well we'll explain it. It is a gathering of many catholic teens from one area. It is like a retreat which lasts only one day, but in that single day so much can happen. We have mass, seminars on a variety of things such as entering a religious calling, to how God is present in our ever day lives. At our youth masses, we have teens as Eucharistic Ministers, singers, readers, and even the ushers are teens. After the masses we gather for a meeting. At the meetings we have great times. We have picnic's to start and end the year. In between, we have talks on abortion, and many other topics. And those are only some of the things that we do! |
