CYO sports enables the partnership of parents, coaches, priests, religious,
teachers and adult leaders to manage and support a sports program that allows
youth to grow in their relationship with God and come to better understand
themselves and the Catholic Faith. We believe in positive motivation
through hard work, team spirit, and encouragement by coaches, teammates and
parents.
Competition is not the first place victory but is defined as competitors
working and trying hard in order to help other competitors to do their
best. It is the entire program's goal to positively encourage the efforts
of your child and build self-esteem.
Our volleyball program begins early August and ends with the CYO championship
meet in late October. Our program is for females in grades 5th through
8th. Requirements for being part of the team: (a) you must be in
grades 5th through 8th, and (b) you must be a registered parishioner at Our Lady
of Mt. Carmel Parish.
